Why Rahoto exists

Important reports rarely happen once. Board packs, pipeline briefs, customer-health reviews, investor updates, and operational standups return every week, month, or quarter. Yet the usual workflow still rebuilds a static file: export data, copy numbers, repair the layout, produce variants, send the result, and repeat.

Rahoto makes the recurring workflow part of the document. Sources, bindings, pages, schedules, variants, delivery targets, access policies, preflight, and run history belong to one structured report rather than a chain of disconnected tools.

What “reporting runtime” means

A Rahoto report can be edited like a designed document and operated like a runtime. People compose it in the editor. Authorised agents can work through the same governed document model. When a run starts, Rahoto refreshes bound data, validates the output, builds the right audience editions, and delivers them through the configured channels.

That makes Rahoto different from a slide tool, a dashboard, or a BI replacement. Slides and PDFs are outputs, not the model. Dashboards stay on screens; recurring reports reach readers. Rahoto publishes on top of the warehouse and semantic layer a team already trusts.

Why the name

Rahoto takes its name from the Hausa word for “report.” The name keeps the product close to the object that matters: not a chart, dashboard, canvas, or chat, but the report a person is responsible for delivering.

How we build

  • Product truth before promotion. We do not advertise unshipped connectors, invented customer evidence, or certifications we do not hold.
  • One canonical document model. Human editing, agent operation, collaboration, publishing, and export extend the same runtime.
  • Design is part of correctness. Typography, hierarchy, brand systems, page structure, and accessibility are report infrastructure.
  • Governance travels with the report. Identity, access, residency, audit evidence, and delivery controls are built into the workflow.
  • Customer work stays private by default. A report becomes public or indexable only through an explicit publishing decision.
